Default E/N or E/Mo?

My last character was W/E with Fire, so i'm burnt out on fire spells (pun intended)

So i'm ready to start a Ele/Air primary, but cant decide on the secondary.
Either Ne or Mo, if Ne i'm stuck between Death or Blood, if Mo i'm set on Healing. I like Blood for Well of Blood and Death for Soul Feast and minions.

Given i'm sticking with Ele/Air primary, which would be most effective AND fun for PvE?

i am playing a El/Mo right now and if you are set on doing healing its a good thing for energy storage(this also has its downsides).

but if you plan on doing a more offensive build i would not suggest picking a monk secondary. the Mo provides a lot of healing(good for soloing) but to do any good at healing you have to go all out i use a complete healing skills build. The protection prayers are good but not for offense.

but a Ne secondary that use blood magic seem more fitted to and offesive minded El/ and also decent for soloing because of vamp skills like vamp touch and gaze. and has some nice combos.

BUt for a lot of damage output i would have to agree with the previous post go me and spike.

Hope this helps a little.

thanks for the replies, i'm thinking since I wont have AoE from Fire magic I will need a secondary that will keep me alive longer, not necessarily for solos.
worried a E/Me wont help there. Thanks for the advice on the E/Mo, looks like its down to E/N Death or Blood.

Anyone else have a suggestion? Again i'm looking for fun over maximum effectiveness. I know which builds are the most effective in PvE. I'm used to the W/E, so I guess i'm partial to a character that can survive while casting fun spells.

Right now im E/Mo and I am really enjoying it, depending on the group and situation I can change from healer to DPS. For example today I was in a group and the first time a 20 was helping me through so I went fire and then I was going with just a ranger so I went healer instead. It gives you more oppurtunities and makes it more interesting IMO.

I played an Ele/mo to lvl 14 was good as solo. in arena good support heal and can still do some dmg. I now have a lvl 17 ele/n. I like the diversity. ele/mo is pretty much heal and ele/spell. As an ele/nec I have gone out on quests and missions with different builds. I myself prefer blood, but curses work well too.
Blood you can throw up wells and do vamp spells along with ele dmg. Curses can work well, I like to use suffering on mobs throw up a ward of meelee and use phoenix. But you can also go curses and water effectively. If you want to carry a mini army with you, then go death. I personally, have never like carrying bone minnions, I like to degen/steal health and go for more dmg.
Play around with it and see which build works better for your play style.

There is no reason to go E/N and play Necro in PvE. Soul Reaping > Energy Storage. In small arena PvP, fine. In PvE it is a weak choice.

well... the idea is I want to play Ele and Necro. So are you saying N/E is better than E/N because of soul reaping?

well in PvE I can see soul reaping being beneficial. However, as an ele primary you have the advantage of runes. As I said, right now I'm a lvl 17 ele/nec. I have used all of the elements at one time or another. So far in PvE fire is by far the best..in my opinion. I also like using earth. I use runes to boost my attributes. Energy has not been an issue. I'm really not sure that going Nec/ele would be that much better. Do you want the benefit of using a blood, curse or death rune down the road to boost your stats? what skills are you looking to use?
I knew that I wanted to be en ele primary for the simple fact that I wanted to deal damage and I like that I can use runes to boost various elemental dmg. I only use 2-3 nec skills at a time when I go out. So I'm not playing an ele that running all sorts of nec skills. If your plan is to primarliy use the necro skills, then yes play a nec primary for the benefit of runes and higher attributes in those skills. If you are looking to be a nuker, a spiker, a warder, then go ele. your decisin shouldn't be based soley on soul reaping vs. energy storage. They both have their upsides. With high energy pool to start with I can get off many spells before it would ever be an issue. Soul reaping PvE...well the enemy should die and you should always have a flow of energy. Really depends on how YOU want to play YOUR character.
